“Hi Carlo, Hope that you and yours are well. Yes you have my full permission to put my interview on the website”

Peter Long (15th September 2021)

Peter Long is a gently spoken man who doesn’t wear his talents on his sleeve. I had no idea that he had had a career in comedy script writing and there are some famous names dropped into the conversation. Pantomime writing is an enormous task which I suspect most people take for granted but if you listen to Peter you get an inkling of what a mammoth task it is.
He also talks about National Service; working at Silver Cross and a tussle with prostate cancer as well as his views on Brexit, the Royal Family and global warming.

Please take into consideration when listening to these interviews that the meaning of language changes over time and that interviewees have not intended to cause offence by anything said which now may be thought to be unacceptable.

Recording this social history, chatting to different people about a whole host of subjects has been a real pleasure, such an interesting and I think worthwhile project for people to listen to both now and in years to come.

Thank you for visiting this website.
