“Have just listened to Molly’s Back Chat it’s great, consent given.”

Joe Matheron (Father) 6th August 2021

I have been wanting to get a young person’s view on these strange times we are living in for a while so I was pleased when Molly agreed to be interviewed a few weeks before her 15th birthday. This interview is everything I had hoped for.
This self-assured young woman fills in a lot of blanks about what it’s like to be at school heading towards your GCSEs in a pandemic. She is frank about how young people viewed the coronavirus outbreak when it first reared its ugly head in the UK and their feelings now as vaccinations are being offered.
We talked about a wide range of subjects from Boris Johnson to university fees, Greta Thunberg to shopping on line.
I didn’t mention it in the interview but I am very proud to say that Molly is my granddaughter.

Recording this social history, chatting to different people about a whole host of subjects is a real pleasure, such an interesting and I think worthwhile project for people to listen to both now and in years to come.

You know what it’s like, everything costs money!

If you feel like you could make a donation of any size to help me I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.
