“Hi Carlo, I have listened to the Back-Chat and really enjoyed listening to it. I was surprised how relaxing it sounded, and as you say reflected a gentle chat between cousins”

Suzanne Wright (1st December 2021)

Suzanne is a happy and contented person which is a testament to her strength in life as she has certainly had some ups and downs.

Suzanne bravely told me about the death of her husband Michael and the final moments when his life support machines were turned off.

We also chat about her newspaper dating, schools, Christmases and childhood holidays and murder mysteries. It was a surprise to find out who her favourite royal is and her views on how the world is treating him.

Interviewer: Carlo Harrison

Cataloguer: Fiona Quinton

Please take into consideration when listening to these interviews that the meaning of language changes over time and that interviewees have not intended to cause offence by anything said which now may be thought to be unacceptable.

Recording this social history, chatting to different people about a whole host of subjects has been a real pleasure, such an interesting and I think worthwhile project for people to listen to both now and in years to come.

Thank you for visiting this website.
