“I am very happy for you to use my interview and photos on the Back Chat website. Best wishes, Richard” Reverend Richard Walker 8th November 2020 |
This interview with the Reverend Richard Walker was recorded in the church of Saint John the Evangelist in Yeadon during the celebration of 175 years since the consecration of the church.
It is a bit echoey and you can hear the congregation and visitors and a child. As Richard says “everyone is welcome in the church” which includes vocal children and me!
Richard is a straightforward, plain speaking and friendly man who will surprise you with some of his views including exorcism and the church, missionary work in Belgium and the Bible.
Richard ends our chat with a message for future generations listening to the interview.

Please take into consideration when listening to these interviews that the meaning of language changes over time and that interviewees have not intended to cause offence by anything said which now may be thought to be unacceptable.
Recording this social history, chatting to different people about a whole host of subjects has been a real pleasure, such an interesting and I think worthwhile project for people to listen to both now and in years to come.
Thank you for visiting this website.
