“I give you my permission to publish the interview & photos.” Christine Robinson (13th March 2021). |
Christine Robinson said to me: “I have lived a simple and happy life, with simple pleasures.”
She grew up in Yeadon & Guiseley and now lives in a lodge house on the Flasby Estate in the Yorkshire Dales. Christine’s life may have been simple, but interesting nonetheless, from working in the fashion industry straight from school making hand stitched gowns for debutants to living on a busy working farm. Just listening to Christine’s description of childhood Christmas dinners at the farm makes you hungry.
She has personal experience of long Covid within the family and has some interesting observations on Brexit and the things that our children will miss that we took for granted.
A delightful woman to interview.

Please take into consideration when listening to these interviews that the meaning of language changes over time and that interviewees have not intended to cause offence by anything said which now may be thought to be unacceptable.
Recording this social history, chatting to different people about a whole host of subjects has been a real pleasure, such an interesting and I think worthwhile project for people to listen to both now and in years to come.
