Grew up in Yeadon now lives in Menston

Date of Interview

10th March 2019

“You have my permission to publish the photos and the interview we did last year.”

Jackie Watkinson

Jackie was born at home in Haw Street Yeadon, with no electricity, just one cold water tap and, of course, an outside privy. She had a lifetime ambition to become a nurse and, following a spell at Peates Mill in Guiseley, Jackie was able to fulfil this childhood ambition working for 23 years in oncology nursing. Add into this mix a love of cake making and decorating and you have the gently told story of Jackie Watkinson.

Have a listen, you will enjoy this.
